Care for Caregivers Support Group

A support group for professionals and non-professionals coping with the complexity and stress of caring for others.

Taking care of someone can be an act of love; it can also be a difficult and isolating burden. It can be overwhelming and fraught with complex emotions of frustration, guilt and sorrow. This group will address the caregiver’s unique and challenging experience while providing ongoing community and connection.

During this safe and experiential support group, we will use deep listening and bear witness to each other as we share personal stories of caring.

Support Group Participants Will:

• Explore complex emotions such as anger, guilt, exhaustion, ambivalence and responsibility

• Experience how this support group can become a stabilizing presence in their lives

• Practice deep listening to create space around thoughts or experiences that feel daunting or isolating

• Awaken their capacity for inspiration, engagement and aliveness
